I completed my read through today on the first draft of The Shadow of Vale. There is a lot of it I want to keep. I think it is a good story, but I have a good deal of work to put into drawing all the themes through that only span a small portion, or several separate portions. I made a lot of changes as I went along as to what relationships people had to each other and some of the structure of the society, the history of the world, I will have to fix a lot of those things, make them more cohesive.
There are some really good sections of it that were exciting to read, and there were some sections that made me cringe. Definitely a first draft. On to round two.
